HP announced the availability of version Wifi of its HP TouchPad in France, Germany, Ireland, and the United Kingdom from the first week of July. The first HP Tablet under webOS will go on sale in the United States on July 1 and the Canada from mid-July. The HP TouchPad will be marketed later this year in Italy, in Spain, Austria, Hong Kong, New Zealand and to Singapore.
The HP TouchPad will be available directly at HP, specialty stores, and to some resellers where HP will offer versions 16 GB and 32 GB respectively at a price of €479 and €579. The pre-orders in Europe as well as in North America will be available from June 19.
The truly multitasking capabilities of webOS, HP TouchPad users can run many applications simultaneously. In addition, they can surf the Web, while listening to music with outstanding stereo sound with Beats Audio technology and the speakers of quality. HP TouchPad provides access directly and applications, simply without opening, with the search bar "Just Type" and all personal information is grouped and accessible through "HP Synergy." Finally, users will be able to exploit the benefits of the "Touch to Share" feature, exclusive HP, which allows to transfer content between a compatible phone webOS and the HP TouchPad.
Complementary accessories specially designed for the HP TouchPad include HP Touchstone charging base, wireless HP TouchPad keyboard and the TouchPad HP Holster (sold separately).
